WCMA International Music Competition 2025

The World Classical Music Masters Association (WCMA) is honoured to announce the Annual International Online Music Competition. This distinguished event seeks to bring together accomplished musicians and emerging talents from across the globe, providing a platform of the highest calibre unrestricted by geographical boundaries. The competition encompasses a broad spectrum of categories, including solo performance, ensemble, vocal, composition, and conducting, celebrating both the richness of classical traditions and the vitality of contemporary and cross-genre innovation. By submitting their performances online, participants are afforded the opportunity to present their artistry on an international stage and to contribute to the ongoing preservation and advancement of musical culture.

The competition will close at 23:59 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on 1st November 2025. Entries received after this time will not be accepted under any circumstances.


All information provided must be both accurate and complete. The Organising Committee reserves the right to disqualify any applicant whose entry is found to be incomplete or contain false information.

Entry Fee

 

A non-refundable entry fee of €45 is payable for each entry.

Recording Requirements

 

The video must be filmed in one continuous take. Any form of editing, audio enhancement, synchronisation adjustment, or post-production manipulation is strictly prohibited.

The frame must clearly capture the performer and their instrument in its entirety, with particular emphasis on the performer's hand technique and facial expression.

The recording device must be fixed throughout the performance to ensure a stable and professional image.

 

Repertoire Requirements

 

Free-choice repertoire: Contestants may select one or more pieces which demonstrate their technical accomplishment and musicality. The total duration of the performance must not exceed 15 minutes.

Original composition: Entrants in the composition category are required to submit an original score (in PDF format) accompanied by a recording or MIDI realisation (in MP3 format). Scores must be anonymised and must not contain any personal identifying information to ensure impartial judging.

Copyright declaration: Participants are responsible for ensuring that their chosen repertoire does not infringe upon any third-party rights. For performances of contemporary works, it is the entrant's responsibility to secure all necessary permissions in advance.

 

 

Adjudication

The panel of adjudicators will comprise internationally renowned musicians, professors, and experts.

All entries will be judged anonymously and impartially to ensure absolute fairness.

The adjudicators' decisions are final and binding. No correspondence or discussion concerning the results will be entered into.

 

 

Announcement of Results

 

Results will be announced on the official WCMA website on 1st December 2025.

All digital certificates, winner posters, and monetary prizes will be issued via email or online transfer within one month of the results announcement.

 

 

Terms and Conditions

 

By entering the competition, participants grant the Organising Committee the right to use their submitted materials (video, audio, and images) for the purpose of promoting the competition without further compensation or notice.

 

The Organising Committee's interpretation of these rules is final in any matter not explicitly covered herein.
