The International Music Competition 2026 celebrates the artistic legacy of Igor Stravinsky, one of the most influential composers of the twentieth century. The competition welcomes musicians and composers of all nationalities and backgrounds to share their artistry in a spirit of creativity, innovation, and musical excellence.

 

Age Groups

Category A: 7 years and under

Category B: 8–9 years

Category C: 10–11 years

Category D: 12–13 years

Category E: 14–15 years

Category F: 16–17 years

Category G: 18–20 years

Category H: 21–25 years

Category I: 26 years and above

Video Submission Guidelines

• Recordings must have been made within the last 12 months.

• The performance must be recorded in a single, uninterrupted take.

• No audio or video editing is permitted.

• The performer must be clearly visible throughout the recording.

• High-definition video quality (720p or above) is required.

• Audio must be synchronised with the video and clearly audible.

• Artificial intelligence (AI) may not be used to generate, modify, enhance, or reconstruct any part of the performance.

 

Repertoire Requirements

Instrumental Performance, Vocal and Conducting

• One work or movement of the participant's choice.

• Any style or period is permitted.

• Arrangements and transcriptions are accepted where appropriate.

Composition

• One original composition.

• A PDF score must be submitted.

• A live recording or computer-generated audio realisation may be provided.

• Maximum duration: 15 minutes.

Piano Accompaniment

• One performance demonstrating collaborative skills and musical partnership with the soloist.

Eligibility

The competition is open to participants of all nationalities.

Age is determined as of the closing date for entries.

Participants may enter only one age category.

The jury reserves the right not to award prizes or to divide prizes where deemed appropriate.

Jury

The jury consists of internationally recognised performers, educators, composers, and cultural professionals. The jury's decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

Copyright of all submitted works remains with the participant.

By entering the competition, participants grant the organisers permission to use submitted materials for competition administration and non-commercial promotional purposes.

• Entry fees are non-refundable.

• Incomplete applications may not be considered.

• Entries found to contain plagiarism, misrepresentation, or other violations may be disqualified.

• The organisers reserve the right to amend the competition regulations if necessary.

• The organisers' interpretation of these regulations shall be final.
