EMANUELE STRACCHI

A versatile musician—pianist, composer, and conductor—he holds diplomas in Piano Performance, Composition, Applied Music, and Sacred & Vocal Repertoire Conducting from the Conservatorio “Santa Cecilia” in Rome, as well as a degree in Philosophy. He has performed at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including the Wiener Musikverein, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Salzburg Mozarteum, and Carnegie Hall in New York. Deeply engaged with both early music and contemporary musical currents, he has received numerous international distinctions as a pianist and composer, including the “Novecento” Prize at the Luigi Nono International Competition, 1st Prize at the International Stresa Competition, the Grand Prize Virtuoso, 1st Prize in Composition at the New York Global Music Competition 2023 (Carnegie Hall), the Vitti International Competition 2024, and the Hong Kong International Music Competition 2025. He has also been selected in several Calls for Scores organised by leading Italian contemporary music societies and ensembles, and received the High Merit distinction for Composition from the Norman Academy (USA).

As a conductor, he founded the “Cantus Dei, Voices of Eternity” concert series for the Sacred Music Festival of the Lazio Region 2025 and was awarded the “Musica Sacra” Regione Lazio 2025 Prize. He has conducted the Roma Tre Orchestra in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Culture and has established an international reputation as a composer of sacred, vocal, chamber, and symphonic music. His works have been performed by institutions including IUC, RAI Radio 3, and the Roma Tre Orchestra, as well as across Europe and the United States. In 2025, the Orquesta Clásica de Valga dedicated a monographic programme to his music in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Active as an arranger for organisations such as the Roma Tre Orchestra, the Fanfara della Polizia di Stato, and the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, he also works extensively in film and theatre music. He is the author of numerous publications and currently serves on the faculty of the Conservatory of Turin.
